Casa Verazzano

Verazzano, Anghiari, Arezzo Map / Directions

Price: €380,000

Description

Set in the foothills of the Alpi di Poti with spectacular views of the Upper Tiber Valley and the distant Apennines, Casa Verazzano is one of seven stone houses in the 12th century hamlet of Verazzano. The oldest part of this delightful Tuscan property was originally owned and used by the monks of the Camaldoli in the 11th and 12th centuries. It is set amongst olive and chestnut groves high in the hills near the lovely medieval town of Anghiari.

This large house is semi-detached, the adjoining part (at the rear of the house) is owned by an Italian. It has been carefully restored retaining the original features. It would easily divide into 2 appartments. The full central heating system ensures winter occupation is very comfortable.

Casa Verazzano has a good letting record with many repeat visits. It is furnished with antiques and is fully equipped including linen (the majority of contents can be included in the sale by separate agreement). The ground floor bedroom suite is suitable for the disabled.

All the ground floor rooms have direct access to the outside terraces. In front of the kitchen there is a shady vine covered pergola with a dining table.

Steps lead down to a paved sun terrace and the pool where there is also plenty of shade.
